I offer cognitive assessments for adults (16+).
The assessment primarily focuses on dyslexia and involves taking a detailed history and completing various cognitive/literacy tasks.
The assessment may identify a dyslexic profile and provide a formal diagnosis which can be used to provide evidence to support an application for:
Disabled Students’ Allowance.
Access to Work.
Examination accommodations in HE and professional qualifications.
For GCSE and A Level examinations, applications for alternative arrangements are administrated by the school/college in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualification guidlines.
Assessments
I provide a diagnostic assessment of dyslexia, which may result in a formal diagnosis.
As part of the assessment, where appropriate, I also carry out in-depth interviews/screening for dyspraxia/ADHD and Autism Spectrum Condition. This can be used to:
Provide evidence in support of reasonable adjustments.
Provide interim recommendations for support on the basis of a ‘working’ or ‘indicative’ diagnosis.
Support a referral for a formal diagnosis.
A formal diagnosis is required for accessing medical care.
Fees
The assessment fee for a diagnostic assessment is £550
A 20% deposit is required to book the appointment and the balance is due on the day of the appointment.
