Frequently Asked Questions:

What are the benefits of having an assessment?

Having an assessment can provide a great sense of relief, especially if you have struggled with certain aspects of learning in education or performance in the workplace. It can enhance understanding of your individual skill set and improve confidence.

Should the assessment diagnose an SpLD, it enables access to legal protections, under the equality act 2010 (UK).

In educational settings, it enables formal support in further/higher education, including Disabled Students Allowance.

In the workplace, a diagnosis is evidence for employers to make reasonable adjustments.

Where will the assessment take place?

The assessment can take place at your home, I just require a quiet room with a table.

What do I need to do before the assessment?

I will provide a short questionnaire for you to fill out, prior to your assessment.

What happens in the assessment?

Following an initial discussion, where I take a detailed history, the tasks can take up to 3 hours to complete.

I can provide initial feedback following the session and a full diagnostic report will be completed within 10 days.
